Imran Gulamhuseinwala is a highly experienced advisor to governments, financial institutions and investors. He was formerly the global leader of EY’s FinTech practice and went on to deliver the UK’s world-leading open banking initiative as Chief Executive and Chair of the Open Banking Implementation Entity (2017-2021). He also co-founded FinTech50 startup CommuterClub, which helps commuters access savings for annual travel season tickets.
Imran now serves as a Senior Advisor to a VC fund in the Middle East and several fintechs in the areas of digital banking, payments, and fraud. He recently joined the Board of Tandem Bank (a UK digital neobank).
Imran holds a master’s degree in Engineering from Cambridge University, is a CFA holder, and was awarded an OBE for services to Fintech in 2017.
