Ivan Koparan is a Senior Research Associate at Portage and joined the firm in 2019.
Ivan is focused on market research, investment operations, data analytics and reporting efforts, and supports the investment team through these initiatives. Ivan is based in Toronto, Canada.
Prior to Portage, Ivan interned at iGan Partners as an investment analyst, where he helped evaluate early-stage Canadian MedTech and B2B SaaS companies. Prior to that, he interned at the Ontario Ministry of Health where he worked with the Health Capital team assisting in the capital planning process for Hospitals in Ontario.
Ivan holds M.A. in Economics from the University of Waterloo with a focus on applied economics. He also received his Bachelor of Accounting and Financial Management (BAFM) from the University of Waterloo.
