Jonathan Watkin is an Associate, Portage Capital Solutions at Portage and joined the firm in October 2022. As an Associate, Jonathan invests in growth equity, structured equity and special situations in financial technology and financial services companies globally. He is responsible for all aspects of the investment process, including origination, due diligence, execution, and portfolio management. He is based in Toronto, Canada.
Prior to Portage, Jonathan worked in the Teachers’ Venture Growth group at Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan and began his career in Investment Banking at Financial Technology Partners in New York City.
Jonathan graduated from Queen’s University with a Bachelor of Commerce.
