Melanie Johnson is an Executive Assistant at Portage Capital Solutions and joined the firm in 2026. Melanie supports General Partners Devon Kirk and Dan Ballen, providing executive support across complex calendar management, travel, stakeholder coordination and day-to-day operations.
Prior to Sagard, Melanie was a Senior Administrative Officer at Scotiabank, supporting senior leaders within International & Global Transaction Banking. Previously, she spent more than 12 years at CPP Investments, where she supported the Chief Talent Officer before transitioning into non-administrative roles, ultimately progressing to a Manager role where she built and scaled global programs, governance structures and enterprise-wide initiatives.
Melanie studied Liberal Arts at Mount Allison University.
