Alex Sun is a Research Associate at Portage and joined the firm in 2025. Alex is responsible for market research, investment operations, data analytics and reporting efforts, and supports the investment team through these initiatives. He is based in Toronto, Canada.
Prior to Portage, Alex worked as an Equity Research Associate at AlphaSense with a focus on the Consumer & Retail sector, writing research reports and maintaining financial models. Before that, Alex completed internships at two Canadian venture capital firms, Northside Ventures and Inovia Capital.
Alex holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) from Queen’s University.
